Polymer bills are becoming more and more popular among central banks due to their durability. Not only are they stronger than paper bills, but they also have different security features. Polymer bills do not contain the same (or any) magnetic properties as paper bills do. It is therefore important that you adjust the settings of your device accordingly before you start your counting session. Simply follow the instructions below to learn how you can successfully count polymer currencies such as the Great British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Australian Dollar, and Romanian Lei.
1. All you have to do is press the MG button to deactivate the magnetic detection feature. Once the feature is deactivated, the MG symbol should no longer be visible on the screen.
If after pressing the button the MG symbol is visible in the screen, simply press the MG button again.
